The CM-8820 ferrous coating thickness gauge is a portable measuring device based on magnetic induction principle, designed for non-destructive measurement of non-magnetic coatings on ferrous metal substrates such as steel and iron. It can accurately determine the thickness of paint, powder coatings, plastics, rubber, composite materials, phosphate layers, as well as metallic platings including chromium, zinc, lead, aluminum, tin, and cadmium. Equipped with a spring-guided probe featuring wear-resistant carbide tip, the instrument maintains consistent contact pressure even on rough surfaces, ensuring measurement stability. With a measuring range of 0-2000μm and automatic resolution switching (0.1μm below 100μm, 1μm above 100μm), it can measure minimum 6mm areas and 0.3mm thin substrates.
